Testimonials

At the age of 26 I found myself pregnant and alone. By the grace of God, I found Room At The Inn. Before the birth of my baby, I learned how to be prepared for motherhood, by taking parenting classes, and learning how to care for my baby. As a new mom, I am still adjusting to my role, but whenever I need guidance or help, the staff is always ready to lend a helping hand. The joys that my baby bring are as simple as seeing her smile or watching her sleep. I am currently pursuing job training at Central Piedmont Community College. My motivation to achieve my goals comes from my family telling me never to give up. Room At The Inn has helped me to stay focused by offering my baby and me a safe place. Room At The Inn is important to me because it gives me a chance to start my life over, and has shown me how to set and achieve my goals.

How does Room At The Inn help?

When facing an unplanned pregnancy, there are many fears and challenges that can seem overwhelming.  Our staff and programs have been helping women deal with these challenges since 1994.  Here are some of the most common concerns voiced by women who did not expect their pregnancy:

  • I’m just not ready to be a parent.
    (Or have an additional child.)
  • How can I afford to have this baby?
  • My family will be disappointed in me.
  • The baby's father is not in the picture.
  • I feel pressured to have an abortion.
  • Will I have to quit school?
  • Where will my baby and I live?
  • Should I consider adoption?
Room At The Inn is here to help women deal with these concerns (and more) through our professional, effective and life-affirming programs.  These programs are:
